Cara is an Occupational Therapist with more than ten years of experience in physical, cognitive, and mental health rehabilitation. A graduate of Dalhousie University’s Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program, she has dedicated her career to helping individuals restore function, build resilience, and return to meaningful roles in their daily lives.
Cara provides both direct client care and interdisciplinary clinical support, integrating evidence-based approaches across mental health, cognitive rehabilitation, concussion management, chronic pain intervention, and functional restoration. Her expertise includes return-to-work planning, ergonomic assessment, functional capacity evaluation, and working with individuals experiencing anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, executive functioning challenges, and emotional dysregulation.
Recognized for her collaborative and client-centered approach, Cara works closely with clients, treatment teams, employers, and community partners to coordinate comprehensive and individualized treatment plans. She is highly skilled in guiding recovery for individuals with complex biopsychosocial needs, ensuring that care is both functional and trauma-informed.
Cara is committed to ongoing professional development and has completed extensive advanced training in cognitive rehabilitation, trauma-informed care, ACT, CBT, concussion management, and chronic pain treatment. She brings warmth, clinical expertise, and a practical problem-solving style to her work, empowering clients to build confidence, develop effective strategies, and engage fully in the activities that matter most to them.
